In moving towards creating synergies for the realization of the Government of Kenya Big Four agenda, Machakos University is seeking to build support infrastructure with Bio-Vision Africa Trust. Bio-Vision Africa Trust aims at supporting educational and empowerment programs amongst small-holder communities that Machakos University seeks to harness.

Addressing a joint meeting of representatives from both institutions on Friday, 11th May 2018, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Research, Innovation and Linkages, Prof. Peter Mwita emphasized that the University will engage small-scale farmers to benefit from the intended knowledge and technology transfer. The Bio-Vision Project Manager, Ms. Venter Mwongera appreciated the University’s move, noting that the two institutions share a common vision for the better of mankind. To actualize these desires, the two institutions established a member committee to work towards the signing of a memorandum of understanding.
