MACHAKOS UNIVERSITY STAFF PARTICPATE IN STAFF TRAINING IN RIGA TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, LATVIA FOR DIGITREE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Prof. Stanley M. Makindi, the PI for the EU Funded DigiTREE Virtual Exchange Project, led a team of facilitators of the project to an in-person training meeting at Riga Technical University, Latvia from 12th to 16th May 2025. The team included, Prof. David Mulwa, Prof. Peter Kimiti and Dr. John Musau. The meeting was attended by the other Partner institutions of the project, Cyprus Technical University, Vilnius Technical University, Lithuania, University of Botswana, and University of Lusaka, Zambia. During the meeting, the Partners discussed further areas of collaborations in research and exchange of staff and faculty, as an avenue of enhancing internationalization of the University programmes.
The Machakos University staff also had an opportunity to meet with five students from the University who are currently on an exchange programme at Riga Technical University, Wedgener Sindani Mugatsia, Ariel Matara, Joseph Ababu Alela, Haron Kipkoech and Meshack Limo Kiptum.
