Prof. Fredrick Odhiambo Ogola is a Kenyan citizen. He holds BSc. in Agricultural Education and Extension (Egerton University), M. Phil. Educational Foundations (Moi University) and PhD in Educational Foundations (Philosophy of Education – Egerton University). Prof Ogola is currently; i) A full Professor (Philosophy of Education), Machakos University, School of Education ii) Director (Research, Innovation and Technology) iii) Deputy Team Leader for ACAL Consulting contracted by the Ministry of Education (MoE), State Department of Basic Education, Kenya Primary Education Development (PRIEDE) Project to provide consultancy services for Developing a National Education Quality Assurance and Standards Framework (NEQASF), Guidelines and Tools iv) Peer Reviewer for 4th cohort quality assurance capacity building initiative for the Inter-University council for East Africa (IUCEA) in Collaboration with the National Commissions/Councils for Higher Education in East Africa v) Mentor/ Supervisor/ Examiner to postgraduate students’ proposals and theses writing.
During his professional employment tenure in Egerton and Maasai Mara Universities, Prof Ogola served as an examination officer, workshop coordinator/facilitator, Journal (Professional publications) Editor, Head of Department, Dean of the School of Education, Chairperson and member of several committees. He has participated in marketing and exhibitions of University programmes and innovations, students’ attachment, collaborations, linkages and exchange programmes and recruitment and admission of students into the university while serving as Head of Department and Dean.
Prof Ogola has gone through management trainings and participated in curriculum development and review programmes. He is a resource person in several Universities where he serves as external examiner, external peer reviewer and external facilitator for pedagogical skills training for lecturers. Prof Ogola has wealth of experience acquired progressively through teaching, research, consultancy, mentorship, community service and publications.
